# How to import my old wallets?

S1: Name your wallet if you want to

S2: Import existing wallet by:recovery phrase or private key

* Import by recovery phrase:
  * Enter recovery phrase in correct order and separated by the spaces, e.g: space blockchain wallet
* Import by private key:
  * Copy or enter your private key

S3: Create a universal password (8≤characters≤30)

* The password will be used for identity authentication before important operations. Caution! OneGate is a decentralized wallet and we cannot retrieve the password for you.
* If you forgot your password, you need to go to "Security"-"Delete all wallets -> Import your wallets-"Create a new universal password".
